City of Tucker Introducing Adult Summer Sports Leagues

TUCKER, Ga. (April 4, 2018) – Tucker’s Parks and Recreation Department is bringing four new adult sports leagues to the City beginning in June. In a partnership announced Wednesday, the City of Tucker and ZogSports will team up to offer coed kickball, softball and volleyball leagues, as well as a basketball league for men.

“We’ve worked really hard to improve programming for our children and seniors, but we didn’t forget about our young professionals,” says Parks and Recreation Director Rip Robertson. “These leagues should provide a fun outlet for adults to get their competitive juices flowing, while also helping to build a sense of community here in Tucker.”

The softball league will play games on Wednesday and Thursday nights at Kelley Cofer Park beginning on June 6. Kickball will be played at Henderson Park Thursdays starting on June 7. Signups for the five-week leagues opened this week. The volleyball and men’s basketball leagues will start in July, with registration opening later this spring.

“We are super excited to bring people together through sport, helping to build friendship and camaraderie in the Tucker community,” says ZogSports General Manager Brian Caldwell.

Competitors can register for these leagues as individuals or as teams. Registration for kickball can be found here and softball here.
