Tucker’s City Council met Wednesday night at the City Hall Annex for their first meeting of the month of September – a gathering that was delayed two days by severe weather. Mayor Auman welcomed two new faces to City business, administering oaths of office to Bonnie Warne and Steve Smith.
Despite challenges with schools and power outages, things are starting to get back to normal in the City of Tucker following strong rain and winds that swept through the City from the remnants of Hurricane Irma.
Officials with the City of Tucker are working with leaders from DeKalb County in coordinating a response to potential power outages and flooding triggered by Hurricane Irma.
At a special called meeting on Wednesday night, Tucker’s City Council cast a series of votes to deny the permissions needed to go ahead with an 88-acre mixed-use development.
