Tucker’s City Council met Wednesday night for their second, and final, called meeting of the month of June. The meeting saw Council hold five Public Hearings on a range of issues from residential developments to changes to the City Code.
Tucker’s City Council met Monday night for the first of two scheduled dates in the month of June, taking on a packed agenda at the City Hall Annex. The evening began with a special called Public Hearing to give residents the chance to respond to the proposed “zero” millage rate.
TUCKER, Ga. (May 25, 2017) – Having just adopted their Fiscal Year 2018 budget, leaders with the City of Tucker are now looking to adopt a millage rate for the City. The rate, which is multiplied by assessed property values to establish property taxes, is expected to be set at “zero”, meaning residents will see no increase from the City on their tax bill in the upcoming year.
Monday night’s meeting wrapped up a busy month of May for Tucker’s staff and City Council. Staff compiled the City’s first-ever full-year budget, a $7.6 million plan that was presented to the Mayor and Council.
