Following last week's winter weather event, DeKalb County's Sanitation Department is still working to get collections back on track. This afternoon, they confirmed that the majority of customers will have their garbage and recycling pickup delayed this week by one day.
In the first full calendar year of cityhood, Tucker saw a significant decline in overall crime, including a 30 percent reduction in the number of violent crimes committed.
After several months of planning and preparation, the City of Tucker officially assumed responsibility of the Tucker Recreation Center this morning. The facility, which is the most heavily utilized recreation center in DeKalb County, had been operated by the County since its inception.
Mayor Auman is urging all Tucker residents to drive with care and to stay off the roads completely from late Friday night into Saturday morning.
Polling places will be set up across the City of Tucker on Election Day. Voters across the nine precincts will be able to vote for Mayor, City Council and on the EHOST/SPLOST issues on November 7 from 7 a.m.-7 p.m.
