The role of Human Resources is to promote a work environment that is characterized by fair treatment of staff, open communications, accountability, trust and mutual respect. Human Resources seeks and provides solutions to workplace issues that support and optimize the operating principles of the City.

The goal of the HR Department is to be recognized as a preferred employer, provider of innovative and results-oriented human resources services, policies and systems. To elevate performance, unlock potential and accelerate employee growth. To serve the City by providing:

  • Strategic services that enhance the City’s ability to attract, retain, and develop talent.
  • Consultative services that create workplace solutions through strengthened collaboration.
  • Administrative services that deliver simple, timely, and accurate HR services and information.
