City Council Wrap Up – 2.24.25

The City of Tucker’s second meeting of February began with a proclamation from the Mayor and City Council celebrating the Fifth Annual Tucker Restaurant Week presented to two TRW participants, La Glorieta Honduran and Kochi Sushi and Hibachi.

The meeting started early at 6 p.m. to comply with state regulations regarding public hearings to discuss the City opting out of the statewide homestead exemption, HB 581. The Council voted 6-1 to approve the resolution to opt-out.

The consent agenda was approved unanimously with two items listed:

  • Revised construction contract for the Lake Erin Project
  • Purchase order contract for furniture for the Tucker Town Green

True to the second meeting of the month format the rest of the meeting consisted of three staff reports and presentations:

  • Report of potential upcoming agenda items
  • Presentation of the final version of the City Standard Guidebook
  • Presentation on an update to the pickleball and parking project at Tucker Recreation Center

The Mayor and Council then recessed to executive session and returned without action.
