The Public Works Department is tasked with the maintenance and upgrading of the City infrastructure while providing high quality, reliable and responsive citizen customer service. The department includes stormwater, traffic, operations and maintenance.
The voters of Tucker approved the addition of public works services by referendum in November of 2022 and the department launched in July of 2023. In the first year of service the City closed out over 1,000 work orders including several hundred inherited issues from DeKalb County.
