Public Works

The Public Works Department is tasked with the maintenance and upgrading of the City infrastructure while providing high quality, reliable and responsive citizen customer service. The department includes stormwater, traffic, operations and maintenance.

The voters of Tucker approved the addition of public works services by referendum in November of 2022 and the department launched in July of 2023. In the first year of service the City closed out over 1,000 work orders including several hundred inherited issues from DeKalb County.

EMERGENCY RESPONSE

In preparation for the possibility of snow next week, we are streamlining the process of reporting time-sensitive right-of-way emergencies on public roads.

In the event of a wreck or other immediate danger, please call 911 instead of City Hall regardless of time of day.

If you encounter an immediate right-of-way concern, such as flashing traffic signals, please call our Public Works Department at (678) 273-3090 and leave a voicemail detailing the issue and its address, cross street or closest intersection for our on-call response team to address.
