As part of MARTA’s NextGen Bus Network Redesign, a 360-degree transformation of MARTA’s local bus map, they are engaging the public soliciting feedback on the draft network.

MARTA’s NextGen Bus Network Redesign will:

• Enhance service reliability while reducing wait times by increasing frequency in high ridership corridors;
• Improve direct access to jobs and educational opportunities;
• Maintain existing service in high density corridors with multimodal connections;
• Add on-demand transit zones, similar to MARTA’s Reach Pilot Program; and
• Consolidate resources to create a more efficient and customer-friendly bus network.

Following public engagement, the maps will be revised and present to MARTA’s Planning and Capital Programs Committee before being adoption by the MARTA Board of Directors. Another round of public engagement will focus on briefing on the changed routes and training operators on the redesigned network.
