Marti is first and foremost, a wife and mother. Married to Craig in August of 1998, they have two children, Sadie and Joseph. She is constantly working to make sure her family is involved in church, work/school and extra-curricular activities. Professionally, Marti is the Director of the Weekday Preschool program at Tucker First United Methodist Church, where she has been employed for the past six years. Prior to the Weekday Preschool Program Marti successfully ran an in-home childcare center for 10 years. Originally from Perry, Georgia, Marti earned her BBA in Accounting at Georgia College & State University.
Outside her work, Marti is extremely involved in her church and the Tucker community. For the church Marti has volunteered in many different leadership roles for the Christmas at Tucker production, the prior Dinner Theatre program, Vacation Bible School, Children’s and Youth Choirs, and Youth Fellowship. She has also been a member of the Sanctuary Bells and the Discovery Sunday school class.
