Livsey Elementary
• Over 50 families attended Livsey Elementary’s Family STEM Night to experience hands-on science, technology, engineering and math activities. In addition, fifth grade students Abigail Feng, Hope Gates and Oliver Weaver advanced to the Metro Regional Social Studies Fair.
Midvale Elementary
• Midvale Elementary’s annual Sweetheart Luncheon welcomed over 200 visitors this year! In addition, Ms. Tameka Florence, Ms. Selina Kilpatrick, and Ms. Teresa Flanagan were recognized as Teacher of the Year and Educational Support Professionals of the Year 1 and 2 respectively at the DeKalb County School District Employee of the Year Celebration.
Smoke Rise Elementary
• Smoke Rise Elementary’s STEM Night encouraged students and their families to learn about hens, roosters, and quails as well as program Dash and Dot robots and race drones. Thank you to STEM Coordinator Bernardette Cummings for her hard work on this event.
Tucker High
• Tucker High School’s Reading Bowl team tied with Lakeside High as first-place winners of the DeKalb County School District’s Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl Competition. During the contest they showed off their knowledge of this year’s Georgia Peach Teen Book Award Nominees.
