Brag Sheet

Idlewood Elementary
• Idlewood was all about giving back in the month of December. In addition to honoring its teachers with a staff drive-thru holiday party, the school organized a Meals on Wheels drive for 25 Idlewood families in need. Idlewood was also the beneficiary of a coat drive held at Tucker Brewing Company.

Midvale Elementary
• Students at Midvale and their families are excited about participating in the school’s first-ever virtual STEM Challenge. The challenge was issued by Dr. Dougherty via video, encouraging families to use just two types of materials to construct their best attempt at a freestanding tower. Additional STEM challenges will take place in coming months.
• Midvale students can borrow books from the school’s library! Students have the ability to reserve specific titles and pick them up curbside on designated days each week. The program has been a great way to get books into the hands of students during this virtual learning time.

Smoke Rise Elementary
• The school’s Golden Gear Robotics season has begun with a bang! Club members met for the first time virtually in November, unveiling a brand-new robot simulator from Wonder Workshop. They then entered a virtual Wonder Workshop global competition in December.
