Team Tucker – Erich Krahn
What is your professional background?
In my previous positions I focused on Government Accounting and Finance as well as Auditing.
How did you find yourself in Tucker?
My family and I lived in Michigan but when my wife’s parents moved to Georgia for their retirement, we couldn’t pass up the opportunity for less snow!
Tell us about your day-to-day responsibilities as Finance Manager?
Day-to-day operations involve reviewing requests and budgets, analyzing and approving all things related to finance for the City. Thankfully, I arrive with in-depth working knowledge of the software the City uses so the transition for me was smooth.
What do you like best about the job so far?
I have really enjoyed getting to know Team Tucker. Everyone has been so welcoming and wonderful. I truly appreciate how hard-working yet fun they all are, and I like their vision for continued growth of the City.
Off The Wall
When you aren’t in the office, where would we most likely find you?
When we moved down from Michigan, we landed on 20 acres here in Georgia. When I am not here in Tucker my wife and I enjoy exploring and taking adventurous walks with our three daughters. They are so much fun and we spend hours playing games and having tea parties with ALL the dolls.
What is your favorite type of music?
I think most everyone can agree that the 90’s produced the best music of all time. And hands down 90’s Country stands above the rest. Interestingly, my favorite artist is Luke Bryan…even though he isn’t really 90’s Country.
What is the last book you read?
I just finished reading Dan Brown’s “Angels & Demons”. I couldn’t put it down!
Michigan State or University of Michigan?
