Citizen of the Month – David Fisher
“I first met David Fisher a little over two years ago when we began working together in the planning stages of Taste of Tucker 2017. It was both his and my first year helping Art and Karen Wood orchestrate the community fundraising food fest.
NETWorks Community Ministry is a major beneficiary of Taste of Tucker proceeds, which allows Tucker citizens to have access to a food pantry, emergency financial assistance and education, rental and utility assistance, resumé writing classes, and much more. David had recently joined NETWorks Cooperative Ministry as its executive director.
Now in the third year of working together with David, I have learned to appreciate the positive impact that he has had on our community. A soft-spoken, articulate gentleman with a real commitment to making things better, David has led NETWorks in its expansion into the Embry Hills area and has partnered with several local businesses to continue to grow the community’s involvement and support of NETWorks and all of those who benefit from it.
With Taste of Tucker just a little over a month away, things will get somewhat frantic, but I know we can count on David for all he commits to, and even for those unexpected hiccups…all with a smile.
On behalf of the Taste of Tucker Team, I would like to nominate David Fisher as Tucker Citizen of the Month.”
