Fitzgerald Park is the longtime home of the Tucker Football League (TFL) which was established in 1955. It is the oldest youth park in the Metro Atlanta area but one of the newer additions to our Tucker Parks family.

The City of Tucker acquired Fitzgerald Park in 2019. With new improvements currently under construction, Fitzgerald Park will serve the Tucker community as a sports complex. When complete, amenities will include a football field, multi-purpose field, several baseball fields, and three concession stands/restroom buildings and play equipment. There will be parking added with accessibility throughout the park with connection between sidewalks and natural walking areas. There are plans for a playground and additional amenities as needed for future programing.

The initial phase of this project was to upgrade the existing water and sewer system. This required complete replacement of the water main within the park and tying into the existing sewer system with new lines.  This phase was completed in the summer of 2023.  The second phase began in September 2023 and will include new entrance/exit drives with an improved stormwater system, additional parking, new facilities, a turfed multipurpose field and new LED lighting on all fields.
